Services

The College provides the following services & facilities to students:   

  • Textbooks and Training Materials offered free to all students.
     
  • Computer Labs The College has three computer labs, all networked and connected to the Internet Service. One, for the faculty members, another [equipped with multimedia] for supporting the teaching process,  and a third one located in the Learning Resource Unit for multipurpose use by all members of the college.                
  • KFUPM facilities and services are accessible to all members of the college. 
     
  • Postal Services Mail is delivered to the college on a daily basis. All faculty and staff have mailboxes in the Dean’s Secretary’s office.  
  • Medical Services All students, faculty, and staff members are eligible for free medical treatment at any government hospital or clinic.  
  • Student Affairs Unit The office provides services to students in helping them acquire knowledge and skills that would facilitate their decision-making and in becoming socially successful individuals at home, the workplace, and the community. Also, the office helps to enhance the quality of life on campus.  The main services provided by the office falls within the following three categories: 

i. Counseling 

  • Assists students in planning their educationprogram.
  • Helps students to explore career opportunities in the government sector and private companies, and help in finding employment after graduation.
  • Works as an advisory group and a mediator between the administration and the student body.
  • Offers a variety of programs designed to enhance and support the leadership qualities of students
  • Discusses student’s special needs.

 ii. Students’ Files 

  • Keeps a placement file for each student. This file details the student’s personal, educational, and employment background. It contains letters of evaluation from lecturers and employers.
  • Keeps a record of student attendance.

iii. Recreational & Social Activities

  • Encourages student participation in extra-curricular activities.
  • Coordinates the social, cultural, and recreational activities.
  • Cooperates with the students in representing HBCC at public occasions. The students may participate in campus tours, greeting incoming visitors and other social activities.
  • Encourages and assists the students in publishing the college newspaper and magazine. This enables them to gain practical experience in writing, editing, layout and design, print shop composition, photography and other aspects of production.
