Background
Hafr
Al-Batin Community College [HBCC] was established under Royal Decree No.
7/B/4735 of 5th Rabi’ I, 1420H which called for the approval of the Higher
Educational Council’s decision dated 5th Dhu Al-Qa’dah, 1419H to establish the
Community College at Hafr Al-Batin, under the auspices of King Fahd University
of Petroleum & Minerals, KFUPM. [For more information on KFUPM, visit

HRH Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, inaugurated HBCC on Tuesday, 5th of September 2000. Ministers of Higher Education, Health and Labor and Social Affairs, the Rector of KFUPM University, the Governor of Hafr Al-Batin, and community distinguished members attended the opening ceremony.
Objectives
- To provide students with high standard specialized technical programs in various aspects of engineering technology [Electronics & Electrical, Computer Science, & Mechanical] and administration [Business and Office]. Such programs are to support and advance technologies already implemented in all utilities and services provided by the government as well as in the private sector.
- To
respond to the market and labor needs of the Community and the
Kingdom by supplying them with highly prepared and trained
technical manpower.
- To provide the country with skills, ideas and innovations in areas of advanced technologies in order to participate in the solution of real-life problems.
Campus
The Campus of the College consists of two three-floor buildings namely Administration building and Academic building. Administration building contains administrative offices, a conference hall, staff offices, a multi-purpose hall, a Learning Resources Unit (Library). The academic building contains 24 classrooms, labs, 35 faculty offices, 2 stores, workshops, and sport facilities.
Location
The College occupies an area of 11931 square meters. This is located in Hafr Al-Batin, off King Faisal Street. [Refer to Map].
